team is trained to work with all populations from the novice to
the advanced exercise enthusiast. All training sessions are scheduled
to accommodate each individual’s needs.
Our personal training programs provide individual
attention in a private setting away from our Wellness Center.
One-on-One Training
One hour training sessions with a personal trainer who will customize
an exercise routine to fit your needs and help you achieve your
goals.
Group Training
One hour training session with a personal trainer who will train
you and a partner simultaneously, teaching you both how to exercise
efficiently together.
Water Personal Training
Our personal trainers will maximize
the properties of water to create a one hour workout just for
you.
Boot Camp
Quite simply, Newport County YMCA Boot Camp is the toughest workout
you’ll ever love! Our personal trainers motivate but don’t
intimidate. We help you succeed in ways you couldn’t succeed
on your own. Each day brings fresh, creative exercises that help
build a solid fitness foundation while enjoying a positive, social
environment. Workouts include: Heart-pumping cardio drills; full-body
muscle conditioning; group relay races; killer calisthenics; sports
specific drills; and obstacle courses.
Body Composition
Tired of looking to the scale for answers? Have one of our certified
staff properly calculate your body fat percentage. Using calibrated
Lange skin-fold calipers, staff will tell you your percent body
fat and review recommended ranges based on your age and gender
(free to members).
Youth/Teen Fitness Class
10 – 15 years of age. 8 week session.
16 classes with a certified personal trainer.
