The YMCA Wellness Center promotes a positive and memorable experience. All of our staff in the wellness center are trained and qualified to assist you in reaching your goals. We offer a free orientation to every member to ensure safety and assistance in developing a workout program suited for your needs. The orientation consists of a certified staff member instructing you on our fourteen pieces of Strive® Smart Strength™ training equipment.

Strive® Smart Strength™ is the most efficient and effective strength training technology that has ever been developed. As a member you will be able to train your whole body in less than 30 minutes. The patented adjustable-variable resistance cam enables you to do more work in less time and get results that you have never before been able to achieve. The Newport County YMCA is the first facility in Rhode Island to offer this exciting new technology.

Along with our Strive® Smart Strength™ training equipment, we have a variety of cardiovascular equipment; Treadmills, Rowers, Lifecycles, Recumbent Lifecycles, Free Climbers, Stairmasters, Versa-Climbers, Elliptical Trainers and Precors. Call 847.9200 X132 to make an appointment.
